Green Tea & Cucumber
One of easiest homemade facial toners you can create is with green tea and a cucumber. Start by steeping green leaves or a green tea bag in boiling water for about 5-7 minutes. While the tea is steeping, take a medium cucumber and puree it in a blender, food processor or juicer. Next mix equal parts cucumber juice and tea together to create the toner. You can store the mixture in a cool place to keep it fresh.
Cucumber & Yogurt
You can also use cucumbers and yogurt as toner. To create this mixture, start by chopping or grating up a medium cucumber. Then add a ½ cup of yogurt to the cucumber before applying to the skin. Store the mixture in the refrigerator to keep it fresh.
Apple Cider Vinegar & Mint
Apple cider vinegar and mint are also ideal ingredients for creating a toner. The process for creating this toner does take a little longer, but the effects are well worth it. Start by placing a few teaspoons of chopped fresh mint into a jar. Then pour 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar over the mint and seal up the jar. Let the jar sit for one week at room temperature. Next, strain the mixture to remove the mint leaves before adding it to 1 ¼ cups of water. Store the finished product in a cool place and use daily.
Parsley is one of natures natural antiseptics and is perfect for fighting acne. It quickly and gently purifies and cleanse your skin. Simply add 1/2 cup of copped parsley to 1 cup of boiling water. Allow it to completely cool and then strain before applying to your face with a cotton ball.
Pomegranate & Witch Hazel
Pomegranate is great for those with combination skin. It’s a powerful antioxidant and has the unique ability to promote the skin cell regeneration without drying out your face. Combine 1/4 cup pomegranate juice, 3 tablespoons witch hazel and 2 tablespoons distilled water. Then apply the mixture to your face using a clean cotton ball.
