Question: Are naps healthy?
In this crazy, non-stop world, getting enough sleep can be difficult. If you are feeling sleep deprived, it might be time to re-introduce the nap into your day. Taking a nap can provide many health benefits, including stress relief, relaxation, less fatigue, improved mood, alertness and performance.
The key to experiencing these benefits is to take your nap in the mid afternoon, preferably after lunch, and to sleep for no longer than 30 minutes. If you suffer from any sleep disorders, such as insomnia, be sure to talk to your doctor before working a nap into your day.
