Why am I always cold

Question: Why am I always cold?
Winter months leave us all feeling the chill, but what happens when that cold feeling lingers all year long? It may be an indication of an underlying health problem, ranging from low body weight to an underactive thyroid.

Anemia, or low red blood cells, and Raynaud’s phenomenon can also leave you feeling cold all the time. Raynaud’s phenomenon causes blood vessels to become very narrowed, which reduces the blood flow to the skin resulting in extreme sensitivity to temperature change.

Lack of sleep and eating too few calories can also affect your body’s response to temperature changes. You need a sufficient amount of body mass to keep you warm and by failing to take in enough calories your body may be missing insulation and produce less heat, which can cause you to feel cold all the time.
