Question: Does touching your face cause acne?
If you are currently experiencing acne or are prone to breakouts, touching your skin may cause more irritation and breakouts. Your hands touch so many things throughout the day that are full of germs and bacteria. Whenever you touch your face, you are transferring these bacteria onto your face, which is definitely not a good thing for acne prone skin.
Touching your skin too much may also trigger the causes of acne; excess buildup of oil, excess skin shedding and the spread of bacteria that causes acne. Before you touch you skin, remember to wash your hands first. This may help reduce your chances of causing more breakouts.
