A simple test to determine your hair texture is by seeing how long it takes to air dry. Fine/thin hair usually takes under an hour, while thicker/fuller takes much longer. The same applies to the type of curl, if your hair dries in tight curls, it is consider kinky or very curly. If it dries in more loose curls, the texture is wavy.
To determine if your hair is coarse or dry, let hair air dry without applying any products. Then look at the shine of your hair. If it tends to be duller, than it’s texture is definitely more coarse or dry.
