Studies have shown that shaving does not effect hair texture. We’ve all heard the old wife’s tale that shaving hair makes it grow back thicker. Luckily, this is not even close to the truth.
The razors we use to shave our hair cut the hair off in a blunt fashion, which produces the common “stubbly” texture you feel as the hair grows back. This may give you the illusion of thicker or darker hair, when in reality it is just you hair growing as it normally should.
