Question: Can anxiety cause weight loss?
For some people, stress can trigger anxiety, which in turn triggers a loss of appetite. Overtime, high anxiety levels can cause mild depression, which may result in not only a loss of interest in food, but also cause food to lose its taste. In other words, foods that you once enjoyed may now taste bland and unpalatable. You may even forget to eat because of the anxiety, and while this might lead to weight loss, it also may lead to serious health problems from the lack of proper nutrition.
