Question: What are the early signs of menopause?
Most women begin to experience the first signs of menopause in their 40s, as their body begins to prepare for the final stages of menopause, or when you will no longer have a period. The early stages of menopause are known as perimenopause. The most common sign of menopause is a change in your menstrual cycle. Your periods may become infrequent, or your cycle may become shorter or longer.
During perimenopause, you many also experience mood swings, hot flashes, sleep disruption, vaginal changes and a reduced sex drive.
