Get ready to meet your baby, as your enter the 9th month of pregnancy. At this point in your pregnancy, your baby probably weights about 7 pounds and is 20 inches or so long, and has 16% body fat. Your baby also looks more like a baby, as opposed to a fetus. They will have pink skin and chubby little arms and legs.
Because the space in the womb is so tight you won’t feel your baby move as much, except for the occasional kick or head moving against your uterus. The fine hair covering your baby is wearing off, and their intestines are filling with meconium, which will come out when your baby has their first bowel movement after birth.
Now that your baby has moved down towards your pelvis, you will be able to breathe easier. Unfortunately, this also means even more trips to the bathroom to pee. You can also expect Braxton Hicks contractions, along with a buzzing feeling along your legs and vagina whenever your baby puts pressure on your nerves.
During the 9th month of pregnancy you will go into a nesting phase, where you feel bursts of energy and the need to clean your house to prepare for bringing your baby home.
