Having long, curly hair can be tricky, especially in the summer months, when moisture is in the air, the temperature rises and humidity hits.
To get the most of your curly hair, you will need to use products such as; a smoothing creme, anti frizz or shine serum and combined it with a mousse or gel. Products will help to minimize any frizz or fly-a-ways that may occur throughout the day and help keep the curl to stay formed.
I have found that it is best, if women with naturally curly hair, DO NOT shampoo their hair every day. I say this because curly hair tends to be a dryer texture, the natural oils have a hard time reaching the ends of the hair due to the bends of the curl, resulting in dry hair. To help keep the oils in the hair I recommend that you preform Conditioning Washes. Conditioning washes are where you use conditioner to wash your hair instead of shampoo, just apply conditioner to damp hair and scrub just like you would if you were shampooing, repeat if necessary, rinse out and apply a detangler. My all time favorite detangler for curly hair is, Its A 10 Miracle Leave-In Treatment.
