When you have naturally curly hair, you know how difficult it can be to maintain, and style. A lot of women resist their curls and spend hours straightening their hair, instead of embracing their natural texture.

Here are 3 of my favorite, go-to, styles for short, naturally curly hair. They are easy to achieve, but produce beautiful results.
 
 
 

Messy Ponytail

Directions

  1. Apply mousse to damp hair and blow-dry completely with a diffuser
  2. Pull hair into a low, loose ponytail
  3. Twist into messy bun at the nape and secure with bobby pins
  4. Optional – Use a 1″ curling iron add uniform curls around your face and crown. Curl hair at an verticle angle.

Enhance Your Curls

Directions

  1. Wash and towel-dry hair lightly
  2. Using a wide-tooth comb, gently detangle your hair working from the ends up to the roots
  3. Apply a curl enhancing product like a mousse, gel or creme
  4. Blow dry hair with a diffuser on a lower heat setting, until hair is completely dry
  5. Next, curl 1″ sections of hair holding the curling iron vertically. Use a 1″ barreled iron for tight curls and 1-1/2″-2″ for softer curls
  6. When you’re done curling your entire head, lightly tousle your hair to break up the curls for a more natural look.

Soften Your Curls

Directions

  1. Wash and towel dry your hair
  2. Using a blow dryer and round brush, lightly soften the curls around your hair line, working your way back to the crown of your head
  3. For the back and ends, complete drying, while tousling hair with your hands
  4. Blow dry hair with a diffuser on a lower heat setting, until hair is completely dry
  5. Next, curl 1″ sections of hair holding the curling iron vertically. Use a 1″ barreled iron for tight curls and 1-1/2″-2″ for softer curls
  6. When you’re done curling your entire head, lightly tousle your hair to break up the curls for a more natural look.
