Hairstyles for Bad Hair Days

We’ve all been there and sometimes it seems all too often. You look in the mirror and for some reason our hair is limp, frizzy, dry or just completely uncontrollable.  Well, before you give up and reach for that baseball cap here are a few simple hairstyles to help you cope with your unruly hair.

Option 1.Cute Pig Tails

I say cute because I am referring to the soft simple ones. You can zigzag your part all the way down to the back of your head, separate and pull one side softly to the side and secure with a rubber band loosely by your shoulders. Then repeat on other side.  Please do not wear high pigtails if you are over 5 years old.

Option 2.Braids

Side Braid

Part your hair off to one side and then gather all of your hair to the opposite side. You can tug a couple shorter strands or few face framing pieces out of the bunch for a messier look. Split the hair into tree sections and began braiding. Stop at your desired length and secure with a rubber band.

Classic French Braid

Separate the top third of your hair into three sections. As you braid, incorporate some of the loose hair so that you use all of your hair by the end of the braid. Then secure with a rubber band.

Option 3.Buns

Classic Bun

Gather all of your hair back into a low to medium ponytail and secure loosely with a rubber band. Then wrap your hair around the base of the pony and tuck the ends under the bun and secure with bobby pins. For a messy look you can pull a few strands from the bun around your face, sides or neck.

Top Bun

Gather all of your hair up in a high ponytail, but don’t pull the hair completely through the rubber band, leave about 4 inches of the hair at the end. Secure with bobby pins and gently fan out the bun with your fingers. For a more relaxed look you can loosen a few face framing strands.

Option 4.Headbands

Head bands are great to put your hair in and go! To dress it up you could back comb your hair to create some volume at the front or put your hair in a high ponytail or bun.
